OPPS!
Well, my apologies for getting this out late but......well, surely 3 issue's
in 4 weeks is enough to test even the most ardent Atari users resourcefulness.
I don't suppose mentioning I've been ill will help will it?.. :))

THE SHOWS
We were there..and what a time we had, rather than go into any appreciable
detail here I'll draw your attention to the show reports, in fact, theirs far
more than simple reports, there's photo's a-plenty awaiting your eye's, all of
them are greyscale however, their very high quality, my thanks go to Pete
Augustin for the original 24bit truecolour images.
It's not often his scanner get's a workout but this time around it was lifting
some heavy weight piccies, Mike Goodman, Steve Delaney to name just a few, all
your fave peeps are in there...take a look to get a glimps of what it's like at
the Atari shows ;))

A FUNNY OLD GAME!
PaCifiST, Gemulator?...Atari emulators for the PC never seem to cease, now you
can take a peek at the info on the latest offering, TOSBOX!, the latest [and
some would say greatest] Atari emulator on the PC Scene...Take a looky in the
NON-ATARI dept for more info on that one.

OUT WITH THE OLD....
Once more, murmurings from afar [not direct to me I hasten to add :((] has
shown that a few folkies out their in Atari land are more than a little
displeased with reading adverts over and over each issue. Why?, I've no idea,
the likes of ST Format, Atari World and of course Atari Computing are full of
'em however, it would seem that the main gripe is that the adverts are getting
on a bit, this means that I've gotta make another major decision, it would be
VERY expensive to call up all the advertisers, both commercial and otherwise
and sort this dilemma out so, should I drop the commercial adverts?...of course
not, these adverts have always been one of ST+'s proudest traits, 'a diskmag
with commercial adverts' is something ST+ was FIRST with, now that a few other
mags are following our trait we've got to look at the long term, what I need is
an ST+ advertising liaison.
I'll kid you not this will involve phone calls!, what I need is someone who
can, every month chase up advertisers into sending their latest price lists.
Fancy a challenge?...write in to me and I'll provide you not only with the
company numbers but also a list of the people you need to talk to, Dave Escott
for example from T.U.S., Dave Encill from Titan.....the list goes on. I do need
commitment though, don't call me unless your willing to do this on a monthly
basis.
For your efforts you'll be well looked after, not only will you gain the
deepest thanks of myself and the readers of ST+ but you 'might'...assuming you
do a great job' get a hold of the latest hardware/software to review as well
[it's not unknown for a company to reduce the price of the hardware as a
special offer to the reviewer, it's happened to me a few times I can promise
you]. :)
Write in, as ever, to me, Dave Hollis and we'll talk, alternatively you can e-
mail me at:
dhollis@allatsea.demon.co.uk
Or BBS netmail at:
